To revitalize local commerce by aligning Michigan's legacy strengths in design and manufacturing with its growth initiatives in alternative energy and media production.

Background

Revitalizing Michigan is a non-profit corporation founded on March 13th, 2009. Its founding members believe our nation's current economic crisis is rooted in the spiraling downward trend of Michigan's design and manufacturing businesses.

Our goal as an organization is to restore world class design and mass-manufacturing starting here in Michigan. We believe manufacturing is the financial backbone of America. Rejuvenating manufacturing will create significant economic improvements for Michigan and for the United States.

Rejuvenating manufacturing requires commercializing new game-changing products. Mass production of the "PC of the new millennium" or the "Model-T of the 21st century" could be rooted in the alternative energy arena; it could be rooted in the bio-degradable arena; this product-led stimulus might start with a significant shift in our normal expectation of personal and commercial transportation.
